The first couple lines of this song bounced around in my head the weeks following the September 11th attacks. The situation was almost too heart-wrenching to write further about at the time. But recently, I revisited the idea, and finished writing this tune. It's from the point of view of a man in the towers, knowing that this will be his end and coming to terms with the fact that he will die and the hope that he will have lived well. It's my tribute to everyone who suffered on that day.
